Andrew is passionate about helping people find rewarding, interesting and purposeful careers. He has worked internationally and across cultures, providing career management, career transition and practical job search insights, as well as executive and interview coaching to thousands of people from new graduates to C-Suite executives in globally listed businesses.
He has worked extensively with organisations from start-up, early-stage, small and medium-sized to large multinationals. This includes a broad variety of industry sectors, covering technology, financial services, consulting, corporate, healthcare, education, government and not-for-profit.
Andrew has a love for health, wellbeing and mindfulness and combines this deep interest with 20 years in international executive search, and project managing executive team builds and team restructures. He provides a holistic approach, supporting people from all levels in the organisation through their career transition journey.
In his role as a Partner with SHK’s Outplacement & Career Transition team, Andrew personally facilitates senior executive and management level programs, and engages directly with clients to provide career transition strategy and staff redeployment solutions. He continues to build lasting and trusted relationships built on integrity and openness, always with a Scottish sense of humour!
In his earlier career, Andrew was the founder of a recruitment start-up focusing on the technology sector, worked in sales leadership positions with global technology vendors in both London and Sydney, and worked as a Chartered Accountant for PwC in both Scotland and Barbados.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Accounting and is Chartered Accountant qualified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.
