Andrew brings almost 30 years of tertiary education sector experience to his search work, having been involved in university executive recruitment from the side of the client. He deeply understands the sector, and the challenges within it. While he brings a strategic lens to every conversation, he is a strong believer that ‘culture eats strategy for breakfast’.
Commencing his career in the sector in research at the University of Melbourne, Andrew moved to Swinburne University where he held many senior university roles including Deputy Vice Chancellor (Global & Community Engagement), Vice President (Students & Alumni), Vice President (Corporate Services), Director (Human Resources), Director (Facilities & Services) as well as Chief Operating Officer of the Swinburne Malaysian branch campus. He has managed teams of 400+ staff and budgets in excess of $100 million.
Andrew has sat on and chaired several local and international boards all connected to national and international Higher Education.
Andrew holds a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Melbourne and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
