As a Partner in SHK’s Outplacement & Career Transition practice, Peter combines extensive experience as a senior human resources leader within ASX-listed businesses, three and a half years as the leader of SHK’s human resources executive search practice, and a passion for helping and coaching people at all levels to ensure their career success. He has provided career management advice and counsel to thousands of executives and specialists and now supports professionals at all levels of organisations to navigate the complexities of job search and career transition.
In his corporate career, Peter worked closely with CEOs and executive teams in the delivery of human resources strategy, internal communications, organisational change and mergers and acquisitions. He played a key role in the development of career management and leadership programs for staff and executives. He also managed substantial restructuring and downsizing projects in large ASX-listed organisations, gaining valuable experience and high levels of empathy with the challenges faced by both organisations and affected individuals in managing the sensitivities and outworkings of redundancy programs.
Peter recently spent five years as the Chairman of the highly awarded ‘Choir of Hard Knocks’ (ABC TV) and played a pivotal role in the creation of the spin-off organisation, the School of Hard Knocks Institute.
Peter holds a Bachelor of Education (Melbourne) and a Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
