About the role

Reporting to the CEO as part of the Leadership Team, the Chief Infrastructure & Operations Officer provides strategic leadership for operational services, infrastructure development, and asset protection across the Market. Overseeing over 600 independent traders, central to this role is complex stakeholder management, next to the management of major and minor infrastructure projects, community collaboration, and financial oversight. The position is QVM’s lead in driving the renewal and revitalisation project, as well as market and event operations, facilities management, asset maintenance, security practices, waste management, and environmental sustainability initiatives. The role is responsible for ensuring safe market operations for employees, traders, customers, and the community, especially supporting trader operations through a period of operational disruption.


About you

You are a senior executive with extensive experience in leadership in operations, facilities management, and project delivery within complex live operating environments. Your qualifications in engineering, architecture, or project management support your expertise in stakeholder management and capital works delivery within public spaces or comparable contexts. Your commercial acumen and operational expertise enable you to balance the day-to-day functions of the market while planning for long-term success through infrastructure upgrades. Strong analytical skills allow you to translate operational insights into actionable improvements whilst maintaining collaboration across cross-functional teams.
