The Australian Indigenous Education Fund (AIEF) was established in 2008 in response to community demand from Indigenous families who choose to enrol their children in boarding schools. Bringing together the government and private sector, AIEF provides scholarship funding for Indigenous students to complete Year 12 or tertiary studies, with career support to help them make a successful transition to employment. Backed by some of Australia’s most influential business and community leaders, AIEF has grown from one scholarship student in 2008 to now supporting over 1,000 young Indigenous people from over 400 communities in every state and territory of Australia.
About the role
Reporting to the Deputy CEO, and working closely with the Executive Director and Founder, the Advancement Manager is a newly created position developing and securing Major Gift investments; enabling more Indigenous students to access world-class education and careers. The appointee will represent fundraising across a diverse stakeholder group and develop deep relationships that are mutually beneficial.
About you
Degree qualified, you are an outstanding Major Gifts professional with extensive experience developing relationships with donors including individuals, trusts and foundations. You are personally passionate to Indigenous education and employment and are known for your integrity, entrepreneurialism and passion for cause. Your track record of driving revenue growth and delivering unique creative strategies for retention and acquisition of donors are second to none. Superior communication and relationship skills are underpinned by your emotional intelligence, empathy, discretion and diplomacy. This is a truly rewarding role with direct impact to the lives of many.
