Lead a trusted life-saving organisation
BreastScreen Victoria (BSV) drives better health outcomes by providing breast screening and trusted information to eligible Victorians to reduce the impact of breast cancer diagnosis through early detection. With 42 screening sites, eight assessment centres, two mobile screening services and direct community engagement to vulnerable groups, BSV has a truly state-wide reach in providing world class services across Victoria. BSV now seeks a new Chief Executive Officer to continue their strong record of trust and achievement for the community.
Working collaboratively with the ministerially-appointed Board of Management, the Chief Executive Officer will position BSV for the future, focussing on client service and innovation. The CEO provides strategic and tactical leadership, insightful advice on a range of political and social issues pertinent to the health sector and oversees operational excellence. Responsible for delivery of the vision and strategy in conjunction with the Board, the CEO will empower their team, continuing a culture of high performance while keeping the organisation’s aims and values at the forefront of decision-making and action.
Passionate about evidence-based outcomes for people based on service and innovation, you are a highly respected CEO or executive leader known for your expertise and demonstrated delivery of improvements in culture, technology and systems, ideally gained in health, human services or a related sector. In tune with the evolving needs of the Victorian community, you are an influencer, politically astute and commercially-oriented, and comfortable operating within a highly accountable public sector environment. Authentic and inspiring, you are an engaging and clear communicator who leaves a legacy of building and sustaining highly cohesive teams. With a clear values alignment to that of BSV, you are driven by the opportunity to make a difference to lives through continuing the development of a landmark health service organisation.
