About the organisation
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) leads the planning, delivery and oversight of Victoria’s ambitious public health, mental health and aged care infrastructure agenda. With a $15b health infrastructure pipeline project underway, VHBA’s work includes planning and building new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. Under the umbrella of the Victorian Infrastructure Delivery Authority (VIDA), the VHBA also administers the replacement and upgrade of engineering infrastructure and medical equipment, alongside the asset management of existing health facilities, working in partnership with local and federal government, health services, industry and the Victorian community to ensure Victoria’s health system meets the current and future needs of all Victorians.
About the role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) sets the direction and provides leadership for the development and delivery of world-leading health infrastructure across Victoria. Your leadership will guide the development of innovative, commercially sustainable strategies and business plans, ensuring timely delivery of a significant infrastructure pipeline that aligns with VIDA’s ambitious goals. You’ll also be the public face of these transformative projects, building strong relationships with key stakeholders and leading high-impact communication campaigns to boost advocacy and brand visibility.
About you
A highly accomplished CEO or executive leader, you have a strong executive presence and a highly commercial and pragmatic perspective. A strategic thinker, you have a demonstrated ability to manage commercial and financial risk across multiple projects. You bring new ideas alongside your enthusiasm to challenge the status quo and effectively manage and drive change. With an ability to develop a culture of collaboration, you articulate a vision, build strong relationships and effectively engage your staff and stakeholders. Having established yourself as a senior executive within the healthcare sector, you are excited by the opportunity to lead and inspire, delivering a multi-billion-dollar program of social infrastructure that makes a real difference to the future of Victoria's health landscape at this critical time.
