About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and as a key member of the Executive, the Chief Risk Officer will support the Board in setting risk management strategies, objectives and risk appetite, in order to support the Bank’s overall strategy. The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing development and implementation of effective enterprise-wide risk management and compliance frameworks within Bank First. The appointee will challenge the organisation to be better for all stakeholders, and provide leadership to the Board, Executive and other key stakeholders on technical matters relating to regulatory, legislative and risk management issues. The appointee will collaborate with leaders in a proactive and agile fashion to support the purpose, culture and values of Bank First.
You are a strategic and transformational Chief Risk Officer who is viewed as a trusted advisor. You challenge the status quo, drive change and create a cohesive, high-performing team. You have significant financial services experience leading risk and compliance activities preferably in a retail bank environment, and have the proven ability to oversee a number of risk types. This is an empowered leadership role that will be proactive in supporting the Bank’s strategy to ensure risk and reputation are managed effectively.
