About the role
The Chief School Development and Support Officer (CSDSO) is a member of the senior executive leadership team reporting to the CEO. The role will provide systemic leadership across the Diocese relating to school improvement, Principal performance and development and learner support, in partnership with executive colleagues. The CDSO’s broad portfolio encompasses strategic leadership for CES Ltd across three key domains: shaping culture, building capacity and capability, and enhancing performance across the Diocesan system of schools. Leading a team of highly skilled Principal Consultants to ensure clear and consistent oversight of building and enhancing individual school leadership capability and performance, and learner diversity, the CSDSO also works closely with the Chief People Officer on capability building, and the Learning, Teaching and Wellbeing Team, to ensure all diverse learner needs and interventions are supported.
About you
Known for your outstanding communications and authentic, inclusive leadership, you have experience in school improvement including evaluations and best practice, and leading implementation of strategy, gained in an educational setting. Entrepreneurial in approach, you are skilled in working collaboratively, analysing data and influencing outcomes in a highly regulated education context. A proven people leader, your credibility and ability to deliver are highly respected.
