About the role
Reporting to the Foundation Director, and leading a small team, the role will assist in developing, implementing and delivering an organisational wide fundraising strategy to maximise philanthropic income. This includes growing a multimillion-dollar portfolio, identifying, cultivating and managing a portfolio of potential and existing major donors and significant contributions, and growing and motivating a small team. Connecting significant philanthropists with the CEO, Board and Executive team, the appointee will build and drive strategic engagement with department heads. The role will provide strategic advice on all aspects of fundraising, undertake research and devise solutions on complex, multifaceted donor engagement issues. Key will be implementing donor engagement activities to inspire continued and new high-net-worth donors.
You are a major gift fundraising executive with proven success leading a small team from strategy development through to delivery of revenue targets. Experience in health, education, arts, development or other significant NFPs will be highly regarded. An outstanding people leader known for your passion, energy and entrepreneurialism, you have a track record driving revenue growth, developing and maintaining donor relationships and delivering uniquely creative strategies for retention and acquisition of major gift, T&F and corporate donors. You possess superior communication and relationship skills, diplomacy and emotional intelligence, and can successfully navigate a complex matrix of stakeholders. Underpinning your deep knowledge of cutting-edge fundraising programs, systems and models, is your ability to thrive in meaningful and impactful organisations.
