About the organisation
Our client plays a central role within Victoria’s rapidly evolving resource recovery, recycling and waste management sectors. Working closely with state government, local governments, partner organisations and the private sector, this organisation acts as a critical commercial link between each, leveraging state-level buying power and specialist technical expertise to deliver improved service delivery and infrastructure development outcomes for waste management and resource recovery across Victoria.
About the role
Leading a specialist team and reporting directly to the CEO, the Director, Procurement and Contract Management leads the negotiation, development and management of major waste management and resource recovery contracts across numerous jurisdictions within Victoria. This includes facilitating the procurement of major resource recovery infrastructure projects, and complex procurement arrangements across multiple government areas.
You are a tertiary-qualified senior public sector procurement professional with deep expertise in leading end-to-end procurement processes and tenders through to successful outcomes in complex multi-stakeholder environments. A natural leader of people, you are able to unite and inspire technical and commercial professionals towards a common vision and shared sense of purpose. Your familiarity with intergovernmental dynamics underpins your ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous and accountable environments.
