The Victorian TAFE Association (VTA) is the peak body for public vocational education and training (VET). With a 25 year history, the Association provides policy leadership and services for its members for TAFE Institutes and Dual sector Universities in Victoria.
Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director (ED) leads the organisation and represents members at state and federal levels. By developing and maintaining relationships at every level, the ED is able to advocate across a broad range of policy and funding issues. This highly empowered role leads an expert team and is accountable for the budget and operations of the association. The Executive Director will take a strategic perspective in identifying priority services and opportunities for innovation and diversification.
Passionate about the VET sector, you have significant experience in juggling competing priorities in a complex policy context with varied stakeholders. You are held in high esteem for your judgement, effective communications and inspiring people leadership. With demonstrated achievement in the delivery of services, you call upon well-honed influencing skills, complemented by public sector exposure and a proven understanding of governance and accountability, balanced with sound business acumen. You thrive on challenge and enable others to be resilient, and demonstrate a clear values alignment with the VTA.
