About the role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the General Manager Sales will focus on driving new business development, providing leadership to the team and ensuring consistent, profitable growth in sales revenue. The appointee will build, develop and assist a high performing global sales team to close new business and achieve sales targets, engage successfully with C-Suite government and corporate prospects and identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and revenue. Key to success will be evolving a best-practice progressive sales function that includes contemporary and measurable sales processes, activities, governance, reporting and an effective team operating rhythm.
About you
You are a proven B2B new business development and sales leader, with a track record of achieving profitable sales and new customer growth. Your passion is building, transforming and coaching high performing sales teams to initiate and close winning B2B sales contracts. You are an outstanding relationship builder and negotiator with deep experience in customised service solution sales, able to engage credibly with C-Suite for corporate and government customers. Your best practice sales expertise is underpinned by your knowledge of contemporary sales practices and processes. You have high emotional intelligence, are commercial and driven by nature and have a track record in growing new business and achieving targets in a highly entrepreneurial environment.
