Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation focused on mental health training and research. MHFA focuses on developing courses and training instructors to deliver first aid skills to communities or workplaces. With a mission to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health first aid education to everyone, MHFA courses are delivered across Australia and internationally.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, in this newly created role, the Operations Manager will plan, deliver and support MHFA Australia’s annual program of work with measurable outcomes linked to the organisational strategy, business plan and operational priorities. Developing and leading a range of operational teams, the Operations Manager will build close and collaborative working relationships with all staff across MHFA. In this key customer-centric role, the appointee will also build on relationships with a range of external stakeholders, including partners, suppliers, and accredited MHFA instructors.
A highly regarded Operations Manager, your experience has ideally been gained in the not-for-profit, mental health or training environments. You present with the proven capacity to deliver annual work programs and integrated customer-oriented solutions, drawing on your ability to interpret and clarify complex operational issues, and deep understanding of customer service standards. Underpinning your track record in leading and developing multi-disciplinary teams – including human resources, finance, technology and customer service functions – is your collaborative leadership style. Demonstrating initiative and well-versed in change management, your highly developed interpersonal skills enable you to develop excellent relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
