The Department of Education and Training supports Victoria as the Education State by building an education system that produces excellence and reduces the impact of disadvantage. The Schools and Regional Services Group leads the delivery, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of services at the regional level across schools, early childhood services and training organisations, with a focus on achieving the ambition of the Education State Targets through strengthening learning and development.
As one of four leadership roles across Victoria and reporting to the Deputy Secretary, the Regional Director, South Eastern Victoria (EO2 level) leads 350 staff in delivering high performing people and place based services, support and evaluation across more than 400 schools, and more than 400 early childhood and vocational education and training providers across both metropolitan and rural areas. The Regional Director leads and supports the work of schools in strengthening student learning outcomes, and student wellbeing.
Highly credible with direct experience in education settings, you are an acknowledged leader in reforming systems for the benefit of learners, families and communities. Your high level people and operational leadership skills are complemented by a reputation for excellence in stakeholder engagement, the provision of impactful advice and effective communications. A problem solver and forward thinker with a passion for improving outcomes, your ability to inspire, to offer balanced judgement and leverage a collaborative approach are core to your success.
