About the role
Reporting to the Head of Risk, this role will lead the second-line risk advisory function to ensure elements of the risk management framework are contemporary and fit-for-purpose to support the identification and management of strategic and operational risks. The Senior Manager Risk provides expert advice to senior leaders to support the consistent operationalisation of the risk management framework and effective identification, assessment and management of risks, including opportunities. The Senior Manager Risk will be pivotal in overseeing the maintenance of consistent stakeholder engagement across all risk functions and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an appropriate level of risk governance and oversight activities, including reporting to the Executive, Audit and Risk Committee and the Board.
About you
With experience gained in complex and dynamic operating environments, you have an expert ability to analyse multiple datasets to identify trends and anomalies to support risk-based decision making. With proven success in leading 2nd line risk advisory functions and influencing teams in the application of robust and effective risk management processes in complex organisational environments, you possess highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and consultation skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective communication and relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders. You will also bring extensive experience in designing and enhancing risk insights reporting.
