About the role
Reporting to the Director, Principal and Major Gifts, Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS), the Associate Director Major Gifts is a member of the MDHS Advancement Leadership Team, playing an important supporting role during this 12-month maternity leave contract. As a senior practitioner, the appointee will work with a personal portfolio of 50-70 major donors including individuals, trusts and foundations, and corporates. Working both independently, and collaboratively across the University and its partner institutions in the biomedical precinct, this role will play a part in the execution of high impact philanthropic outcomes while managing relationships with current and prospective donors.
About you
Tertiary qualified, you are a proven philanthropic fundraising leader, preferably from a large matrix organisation in higher education or health, who is passionate about enabling philanthropy that makes a real difference in people’s lives. You have a track record of successful cultivation and solicitation of major or principal gifts and are known for your sophisticated and inspiring communication style. With best practice experience in philanthropic fundraising, you possess intellectual curiosity with a track record in superior relationship management skills. High performing candidates from a sales or business development background will also be considered.
