About the organisation
Tourism East Limited is the newly established Visitor Economy Partnership for the Local Government areas of Yarra Ranges, Nillumbik, and Cardinia. Formed as part of the Victorian Government’s Visitor Economy Recovery and Reform Plan, Tourism East is the region’s lead body for all visitor economy-related matters. The organisation supports strategic planning, statewide collaboration, and sustainable tourism growth. Building on the foundations of Yarra Ranges Tourism, Tourism East enhances regional tourism by optimising marketing efforts, driving destination development, and advocating for investment and industry support.
About the role
Working closely with an experienced Chair and Board, the CEO will provide visionary leadership for a small team and lead the strategic management of operations for Tourism East. Driving a strong focus on stakeholder and industry engagement, the CEO will strengthen relationships and collaborate to create innovative regional tourism products and experiences. With a focus on attracting diverse visitors both domestically and globally, the CEO will champion marketing strategies, campaigns and new initiatives to enhance positioning, visibility and visitation for the region.

You are an inspiring and strategic leader with a passion for regional tourism and community development. Your proven experience in executive leadership roles equips you to drive Tourism East’s ambitious agenda. You are well-known for your ability to build enduring relationships with staff, industry and government and have a high level of judgement and political nous. You are energised by innovation and growth opportunities while practical and pragmatic in taking ideas and turning them into results.
