About the organisation
Wayss is a for-purpose organisation delivering services for people facing family violence, homelessness, and housing insecurity. They provide tailored support and accommodation programs across multiple Victorian sites, including Greater Dandenong, Frankston, Casey, and Cardinia. As a partner in The Orange Door Southern Melbourne area, Wayss brings deep expertise in supporting women and children at risk. With a focus on continuous improvement, it collaborates with government and the community to strengthen access to safe housing and essential services.
About the role
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) leads and empowers the entire organisation and is accountable to the Board for achieving strategic priorities while upholding strong governance. They shape a culture of trust and inclusivity, drive operational excellence, and ensure robust risk management. This includes managing financial viability, compliance with regulatory standards, and nurturing productive relationships with local, state, and federal bodies. The CEO also oversees service delivery innovation and actively builds frameworks for measuring performance and impact.
About you
You are a values-driven leader with demonstrated success as a Chief Executive Officer within the community services, not-for-profit, or related sectors. You bring proven experience reporting to and working closely with a Board, providing strategic leadership while ensuring strong governance and accountability. You understand family violence, homelessness, and the delivery of housing and housing services, and possess the capacity to influence stakeholders across government, philanthropy, and the wider community. Your approach balances commercial judgement, commitment to social justice, and a talent for building high-performing teams. You lead with integrity and empathy, inspiring collaboration and fostering an environment where staff, clients, and partners thrive.
