About the role
The Executive Director – Corporate Services (ED CS) leads a multidisciplinary division responsible for delivering key enabling functions that support the effective management of Victoria’s parks and reserves, as well as designated local ports and waterways. Reporting to the CEO, the ED CS oversees finance, procurement, risk and assurance, HR, legal, IT, communications and facilities and fleet. As a member of the Senior Executive Committee, the ED CS works closely with colleagues to shape corporate strategy and risk management; develop fit-for-purpose process, procedures and management tools; ensure compliance with government and legal requirements; and foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement across the organisation.
About the person
You are a strategic and experienced executive with a strong background in corporate services, preferably within a government or public sector context. An accomplished all-rounder, you also offer deep expertise in financial and operational management, and a service mindset underpinned by a passion for enabling frontline and place-based delivery through fit-for-purpose systems and support. You translate complex contexts into effective and useful elements, work collaboratively with peers, central agencies and other entities across government, and lead with integrity. You delight in drawing out the best from expert and mixed discipline teams. You are committed to building a high-performing, values-driven culture that supports innovation, accountability and continuous improvement. You seek to deliver real outcomes for the people of Victoria.
