About the role
Reporting to the Group Vice President – Business Development & Engagement, the Executive Director – External Engagement is responsible for providing strategic leadership, optimising partnership performance and ensuring international student growth for the organisation’s ANZ university partners. Accountable for the success of ANZ university partnerships, the appointee will develop and execute new business opportunities, while building relationships and strategies that enhance international enrolment performance and revenue streams. Leading a partnerships team focused on ANZ, the role is responsible for achieving business goals and revenue targets, strengthening regional partnerships, and positioning the organisation as a leader in the international education sector across Australasia.
About you
You are a proven leader of global business development or strategic partnership teams within international education, global transnational organisations or universities. With demonstrated success driving regional growth strategies and delivering commercial outcomes in multi-market contexts, you have a track record developing and growing high-level global institutional partnerships and international student recruitment. You possess deep experience managing high-performing geographically dispersed teams, strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, and the ability to influence executive leadership and external partners. Your excellent communication skills, commercial nous, drive for success and high level of cross-cultural competence, will see you succeed in this rewarding and aspirational position. Experience working with Chinese institutions and stakeholders is advantageous for the role.
