About the role
Reporting to the CEO – Symbion and Healthcare Distribution, the Executive General Manager – Commercial plays a critical leadership role within the Healthcare Executive team, driving strategic planning, growth initiatives including M&A, and operational excellence across the portfolio. The role oversees major commercial agreements, leads due diligence, and prepares business cases for EBOS Group Executive and Board approval. Success in this role requires the leadership of a high-performing commercial team, underpinned by strong stakeholder engagement, sound financial acumen, and a nuanced understanding of the competitive healthcare landscape. The incumbent will be expected to remain closely aligned with evolving market dynamics and government funding mechanisms, leveraging these insights to drive performance, inform strategic decisions, and foster innovation across the portfolio.
About you
You are an experienced commercial leader with a strategic mindset and the agility to navigate both high-level planning and operational detail. As a trusted advisor, you influence stakeholders across complex environments, drive growth through supply chain and distribution insight, and lead cross-functional execution. With relevant qualifications such as CA, CPA or MBA, you have strong financial, legal, and procurement acumen, developed ideally in healthcare, FMCG or environments with a complex supply chain. You bring a proven track record in matrixed organisations and a passion for inspiring change. Flexible and adaptable, you are comfortable with complexity, facilitate diverse thinking and have excellent communication and planning skills. Above all, your entrepreneurial mindset and pragmatic approach will shape commercially sound, regulatory-aligned outcomes.
