About the Role
This pivotal role of Group Finance Manager supporting the Chief Commercial Officer/CFO and partnering with the leadership team across the organisation and leads a team of 13, including 3 direct reports, responsible for financial operations, payroll, risk and contract management, procurement, and audit oversight. The successful candidate will drive financial sustainability and compliance across the organisation, while ensuring timely, accurate and meaningful financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders including the Board. With a focus on continuous improvement, the role will uplift financial systems, processes and literacy, while helping shape key strategic decisions and ensuring Launch Housing’s funding, reporting and risk obligations are met.
About You
You are a highly capable and confident finance leader who brings sound judgement, strong technical capability and a collaborative style. You will be CPA/CA qualified, with significant experience in leading finance functions of comparable complexity. Ideally you will bring sectoral knowledge from the homelessness, social housing or broader not-for-profit landscape, and bring experience managing government funding, major contracts and financial compliance obligations. Your ability to communicate the story behind the numbers, build trusting relationships across the organisation, and lead through change will be critical. You will be values-aligned, service-oriented, and resilient with a disciplined approach. Experience in housing development projects and/or mergers and acquisitions will also be well regarded.
