About the role
The Group Vice President – Finance and Investments (GVP – F&I) is a pivotal member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing the organisation’s financial strategy to ensure long-term sustainability and growth. The role provides strategic financial leadership, overseeing group-wide financial management, investments, treasury operations, risk management and compliance. Acting as a key advisor to the Director General, Council and Group Executive Leadership team, the GVP – F&I plays a critical role in financial decision-making, scenario planning, and business case development. The position also oversees financial operations related to the Family Office, ensuring compliance with corporate tax regulations and trust accounting practices, and managing financial reporting for trustees and beneficiaries while safeguarding investment oversight and legal adherence.
About you
CA/CPA qualified, you are a strategically agile and future-focused, finance leader with either experience in the education sector and/or an understanding of the unique needs of a family office. With a track record of success in dynamic, high-growth environments, you are a proven finance executive with a strong focus on tax strategy, compliance and investment decision making, and significant experience in strategic planning, governance frameworks and risk management. A trusted advisor to the executive team, you communicate confidently and cultivate respectful and collegiate relationships. You are detail-oriented, and results-driven with an ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and work with discretion, diplomacy and sound judgement. Leading a small, high-performing finance team, you foster accountability, innovation and professional growth.
