As it positions itself for its next phase of growth, a newly created position of Chief Operating Officer is now envisaged.

About the role

The Chief Operating Officer carries broad operational responsibility across manufacturing, the national branch network and logistics. The position will assume full day-to-day operational leadership of the business, ensuring consistent operational standards, while driving performance across manufacturing and commercial functions, and maintaining strong governance, safety, and compliance disciplines throughout. The COO will also be expected to contribute to thinking on organisational strategy and operating model evolution as a member of the organisation’s senior leadership team.

About you

You are a commercially experienced operations leader, with a background spanning manufacturing, sales, and logistics in complex B2B environments. Highly financially literate, you lead with credibility and gravitas, and are equally at ease with long-tenured, technically expert operational managers as you are with senior commercial and executive stakeholders. You are self-directing and resilient, capable of operating with autonomy, and comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments. You bring genuine customer orientation and the ability to engage across a broad spectrum, from major contractors through to project end-users. You are more than an operational executor, and you are capable of contributing to, broader strategic and organisational conversations.
