About the role

Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Commercial Manager of the Growth channel is a key leadership role responsible for one of the business’s most important growth areas. Acting as the owner of the channel, you will be accountable for driving performance, shaping direction and delivering sustained expansion across a diverse mix of customers and routes to market. Operating at the centre of the growth agenda, the role blends strategy with execution. You will lead key relationships across grocery, e commerce, specialty retail and New Zealand markets, while building and delivering clear channel plans aligned to broader commercial priorities. Alongside commercial delivery, you will lead and develop a small team, lifting capability and embedding a high performance, disciplined approach to execution.

 

About you

You are a proven FMCG business development and account management professional with experience leading relationships with key retail customers. You bring strong planning discipline, confidence in front of buyers and the ability to translate strategy into commercial outcomes. Whether stepping up from a senior account role or already operating at a broader level, you remain hands on, close to customers and comfortable operating across multiple channels. You combine pace and ownership with sound judgement and consistency in execution and take pride in developing others; seeing leadership as part of delivering results. Comfortable working in a hybrid environment, with a consistent in‑office presence to lead, coach and develop the team, and motivated by the opportunity to build and shape a critical growth channel within a business that has strong momentum and clear ambition.
