About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director (CEO), the Assistant Director of Digital Systems & Technology is the most senior executive responsible for the strategic leadership of diocesan digital systems, information technology and enterprise platforms. This position will ensure digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, data and business systems are secure, reliable, sustainable and aligned with diocesan strategy. The Assistant Director leads the IT & Cyber Security team as well as the team leading the internally developed School Management System (SIMON), and provides strategic leadership for the ongoing growth and commercialisation of the SIMON school management platform. As a key member of the Directorate team, this role acts as a trusted advisor to other leaders, building the digital capability of schools and the Catholic Education Ballarat office.
About you
You are a senior IT leader with experience working within a large or complex organisation, holding a relevant tertiary qualification in information technology. Your experience includes the strategic leadership of enterprise digital systems, ICT infrastructure and technology services, as well as expertise in cybersecurity, data protection and information governance. You possess a strong people leadership capability, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams through change and continuous improvement. You have a track record in developing and delivering multi-year digital and ICT strategies, acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and aligning technology with organisational mission. A commitment to, or a willingness to work within, the mission and vision of Catholic education is required.
