About the organisation

Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) is the state's environmental regulator, established to prevent and reduce the harmful effects of pollution and waste on Victorian communities and ecosystems. With a strong legislative mandate, EPA partners with government, industry and the community to protect the environment and human health. This organisation is values-led and committed to delivering lasting impact for all Victorians.

About the role

A critical link between the CEO, the executive team, the Board, and external stakeholders, the Director, Office of the CEO supports the effective functioning of EPA's executive leadership and the delivery of its strategic priorities. The Director manages the flow of issues, decisions and advice to and from the CEO's office, ensuring alignment across the organisation on key priorities. This includes overseeing executive correspondence, board reporting, strategic project coordination, and stakeholder engagement on behalf of the CEO.

About you

You are an experienced senior adviser or executive with a background in strategic coordination, government or complex regulatory environments. Your ability to synthesise complex information, manage competing priorities, and provide clear and well-reasoned advice will be central to this role. You are discreet, organised, and effective at working across organisational boundaries to drive outcomes. You communicate with confidence and precision, and you understand how to operate at pace in a high-accountability environment. Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience supporting or working closely with senior executive leadership are expected. This is an influential leadership role with depth and breadth of scope.
