About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director Corporate Services/CFO (CFO) is a key member of the Executive team, providing strategic leadership and statutory Chief Finance Officer accountability. Working closely with the Chief Executive, Board and senior leaders, the role ensures strong organisational governance, financial stewardship, efficiency and long‑term sustainability. The CFO leads financial strategy, budgeting, reporting and performance management, while ensuring compliance with legislative, regulatory and government requirements. The role also oversees procurement, asset and facilities management, major contract governance and capital planning, and leads the hospital’s environmental sustainability agenda. Through strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement, the position drives high‑performing, patient‑focused corporate services that enable outstanding clinical care.
About you
CPA or CA qualified, you are an experienced finance executive with a strong background in complex, regulated environments — ideally within a publicly funded or statutory authority context. Your financial leadership is hands-on and enterprise-wide, you are comfortable presenting to Boards as well as working alongside operational leaders to embed financial discipline across a business. You bring exposure to corporate services functions beyond finance and can mobilise teams applying governance rigour to areas such as environmental sustainability and procurement. You are transparent by nature, build relationships with ease, and understand the interplay between government funding, formal processes and commercial opportunity. Innovative and resourceful, you are pragmatic about organisational change and are motivated by delivering sustainable outcomes, strengthening public value, and enabling clinical excellence through strong financial and corporate stewardship.
