About the role
Reporting to the Executive General Manager (CEO) and engaging directly with the Managing Director and Board, the General Manager Finance (CFO) is the group's most senior financial leader and a key member of the leadership team. The role carries responsibility for financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, consolidated reporting, and audit management across all group entities. A significant focus will be elevating financial reporting quality and leading financial systems transformation, including ERP implementation and process optimisation. The General Manager Finance (CFO) will develop board-level business cases, financial models, and strategic recommendations, while providing financial oversight across all business functions. Leading a small finance team, the role will also build team capability and ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax obligations, and corporate governance requirements.
About you
CA or CPA qualified, you are a proactive finance leader with significant senior level experience overseeing multi entity operations, ideally within logistics, industrial or construction environments. You bring strong analytical capability, including financial modelling and performance analysis. Technically sound and commercially astute, you are calm under pressure, prioritise high impact outcomes and deliver to tight deadlines. You communicate complex financial information clearly and persuasively to non financial audiences, understand the operational drivers behind the numbers, and demonstrate the professionalism, integrity, gravitas, and collaborative leadership required to act as a trusted advisor to the Board and executive team. You have a proven track record leading ERP and financial systems transformations and building high performing finance teams and thrive in innovative, commercially agile environments.
