About the role
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the General Manager Finance is a key strategic advisor and integral member of Sportsbet’s extended leadership team. The role oversees day‑to‑day financial performance, drives enterprise‑wide strategic partnership, and leads the budgeting, financial analysis, treasury and controllership functions. It plays a critical role in shaping Sportsbet’s financial strategy, strengthening financial governance, and enabling commercial growth. With strong strategic leadership capability, the General Manager Finance guides a high‑performing team to partner effectively across the business. The role also acts as a primary interface with Flutter, Sportsbet’s parent entity collaborating closely to ensure alignment, transparency and ongoing performance across the group.
About you
CA/CPA qualified, you are an exceptional and contemporary finance leader with a proven ability to operate effectively within a large, complex, and dynamic organisation. With a background in gaming, digital, technology, or high-volume B2C transactional businesses, you bring deep commercial insight that connects financial performance to business strategy. You are a future focused and operational leader who can work in the detail while also contributing to the bigger picture. With a strong ability to build credibility and trust, you are a confident and charismatic communicator who thrives on stakeholder engagement and can challenge and debate constructively in a non-political environment. A track record of developing high-performing finance teams, building capability, and fostering a culture of accountability is essential.
