About the role
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Head of Technology Platforms leads the function responsible for Council’s key business systems. This position manages the delivery, operations, and continuous improvement of core technology and line of business applications, ensuring alignment with organisational strategies and the Target Operating Model. The role leads a team of technical professionals, supporting DevOps delivery to achieve key business-led outcomes. Key responsibilities include managing system patching and upgrades, overseeing vendors and delivery partners, and managing an operating budget of approximately $1 million
About you
You have demonstrated experience managing the delivery and operation of key business technology systems, utilising DevOps and DataOps techniques. Your experience includes leading highly skilled technical professionals to support core business applications in line with a target operating model. With strong analytical and problem-solving skills, you can effectively prioritise and execute tasks within a budget-constrained environment. Your excellent interpersonal skills allow you to develop trusted working relationships with leadership, business owners and technical experts to gain consensus and deliver business outcomes.
