About the role
Reporting to the Managing Director ANZ/APAC, the National Sales Director will lead the organisation's Australian commercial operations and drive the next phase of local market growth. This senior leadership role will focus on developing and executing a robust sales strategy that strengthens market position across both public and private healthcare sectors. Leading five State Sales Managers and a growing sales team, the appointee will oversee key distributor relationships and play a pivotal role in expanding the footprint across Australia. Targeting growth across the acute care, aged care, and community health sectors, the National Sales Director will expand the sales team, optimise distributor performance, and strengthen relationships with hospital executives, clinical stakeholders and procurement leaders. Responsibilities also include distributor performance optimisation through effective partner management and training, and delivery of accurate sales forecasting, pipeline management and performance reporting to the regional leadership team.
About you
You have extensive sales and leadership experience gained within the medical device or healthcare equipment industry. With a demonstrated ability to expand sales teams and functions, and deliver substantial revenue and market share growth, you are proficient in managing both direct and distributor-led sales models. Your experience includes engaging with hospital executives and procurement stakeholders, and you possess strong commercial acumen and negotiation capabilities. You are a strategic thinker with an inspiring and hands-on leadership style, capable of managing and growing a high-performing team in a customer-focused environment.
