About the role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Manager is a senior national role with a high degree of autonomy and accountability. The primary focus of the position is to drive growth by securing new customers, expanding the business into new market sectors, and maintaining commercial momentum across the organisation. This role requires someone who can proactively break into new markets, identify and engage high value customers, and build a sustainable pipeline of opportunities. In addition, the Sales Manager will oversee several key accounts and provide day to day leadership to two direct reports. With the General Manager assuming broader responsibilities across the wider group, the Sales Manager will play a central role in maintaining team alignment, commercial discipline, and execution. This is a genuinely influential position with a clear pathway to step into broader leadership across the business. 


About you

You are a driven and strategic commercial leader with a strong grounding in the chemicals industry and a proven ability to drive growth through new customer acquisition and market expansion. You bring a disciplined, commercially focused approach to business development, with the ability to map markets, prioritise opportunities, engage high value customers, and negotiate sound commercial outcomes. Your experience may come from selling specialty chemicals or operating within a technically informed customer environment, but you are comfortable balancing hands-on sales activity with higher level strategic thinking. You can thrive in a smaller, agile business where autonomy, ownership, and wearing multiple hats are part of day to day life, and have the capability to lead and develop a small team while growing into broader leadership responsibility over time.
