​This project is paused. Adam Fennessy PSM, CEO of ANZSOG, has been appointed as Secretary, Department Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. ANZSOG will announce interim CEO arrangements and advise on timing for the executive team project at a later date, yet to be determined.

Created by government for government, the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) works with owner governments and partner universities to strengthen the quality of public sector leadership in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. ANZSOG provides unique government-focused education programs, thought leadership and research that meets the contemporary challenges faced by public services.

With an exciting new leadership structure to be part of team led by Adam Fennessy, CEO and Dean, ANZSOG looks to deliver continued excellence and growth.

After a strategic review, ANZSOG has redefined Executive accountabilities so that all Executive are consistently accountable for:

            • —    Delivering ANZSOG’s vision, strategy, and plans

          • —    Leading a high-performance culture and great employee experience

            • —    Role-modeling good business disciplines (financial management, risk management, good governance, people management, and data and systems stewardship)

            • —    Leading business development to ensure ANZSOGs viability and sustainability

            • —    Delivering and reporting on positive stakeholder, client, participant, and partner experience

            • —    Being an Ambassador for ANZSOG and promoting the brand.

            Position Descriptions are in development and will be available for short listed candidates. The Candidate Brief contains the current information covering the three roles.

            To apply please submit the following in Microsoft Word format:

            —    a recent CV/ Résumé (4-5 pages preferred) in Word format

            —    a brief letter or cover email note highlighting your capabilities against the role (one page is preferred).

            You are not required to separately address Key Selection Criteria at this time. Your CV achievements will be reviewed for alignment with the role priorities.

            You may apply for more than one role by noting this clearly in your cover letter (and naming the roles).

            A full list of publications is not required in your CV. You may include the most relevant, and indicate that a full list can be provided or link to your publications page.

            You may be contacted by SHK for further conversation or interview with the consultant, and potentially, invited to Panel interviews or other informal meetings as part of the process .Contact may be via email or phone, including voicemail.

            Selection processes will take some time and may include multiple panel interviews and selection stages over the next months. There may be delays in communications on this process, due to decision making at each step and requirements of executive appointments and formal approval. Candidates will be notified of their status at the appropriate stage by email or phone.

            Additional information and referee details will be requested from you only as required, later in the process, and will need to include specific details that allow verification of the referees.

            A range of full probity checks will be required for the final candidates in consideration, prior to a formal offer via a letter and contract. A standard executive contract will be offered to the successful candidate of three to five years.
