About the role
Reporting to and working closely with the Director, Principal and Major Gifts, the Senior Development Manager will focus on securing major gifts and assist in delivering on the university-wide strategic fundraising plan. The appointee will build and manage relationships with current and prospective donors to meet annual income targets and build support for the faculty and its partners. Working across the university and within a best-practice advancement team, the role will develop relationships with senior stakeholders and leadership within the faculty’s partners and research institutes, to facilitate their advancement activities.
About you
Tertiary qualified, you are a proven philanthropic fundraising leader, preferably from a large matrix organisation in higher education or health, who is passionate about enabling philanthropy that makes a real difference in people’s lives. High performing candidates from a sales or business development background will also be considered. You have a track record of successful cultivation and solicitation of major or principal gifts of $100K - $1M+ preferred. With best practice experience in philanthropic fundraising, you possess intellectual curiosity with a track record in superior relationship management skills.
