Regis Aged Care was formed more than 25 years ago and has grown into one of the largest and most geographically diversified residential aged care providers in Australia. Managing 63 aged care facilities, Regis has built a platform that delivers care to many people in need and is underpinned by a strong development program, acquisition activity, with a focus on delivering operational efficiencies.
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Tax Manager will lead a small team with responsibility for the tax compliance and advisory requirements of the group. The appointee will provide advisory services to all Regis business functions and undertake tax analysis of business projects including merger and acquisitions opportunities. The role also manages tax reporting obligations including income tax reporting, FBT returns and GST statements, lodging annual corporate income tax returns and tax effect accounting.
CA/CPA qualified and ideally a Chartered Tax Advisor, you have demonstrated experience in corporate tax in either a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm or similar role in a complex corporate environment. You offer strong knowledge of Australian tax legislation and experience with tax and GST consolidated groups. Inquisitive and commercially agile, you have high achievement drive and are motivated by the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders to immerse tax in critical business decisions that impact company and community outcomes.
