About the organisation
Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA) is the national leader in advocacy, providing vital support services for the 1,800 women diagnosed with ovarian cancer and their families each year. OCA’s expert team of nurses, psychologists, counsellors, and advocates delivers free, holistic, evidence-based specialist support services across Australia whilst advocating for increased research funding and health systems reform. Following extensive consultation, OCA has developed a strategic plan to expand vital support and advocacy to include all women affected by gynaecological cancers, responding to urgent, unmet need whilst maintaining our unwavering commitment to the ovarian cancer community.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, and a critical member of the OCA executive team, the Chief of Support will play a significant role in expanding OCA’s national reach and deepening its impact across the cancer sector. Overseeing multidisciplinary support teams is a key responsibility of this position, delivering nursing services, psychology and counselling services, peer support, and information services across Australia. The appointee will lead clinical governance frameworks, build strategic relationships with health professionals and community organisations, and contribute to development and implementation of organisational strategy. Through effective leadership, the Chief of Support will influence the organisation’s culture and contribute to strategy, risk and sector engagement to amplify OCA’s voice and influence to improve outcomes for all women affected by these cancers.

You apply your well-rounded skillset across clinical governance, capacity building and innovation, and demonstrate a passion for driving sustainable change.
